‘A man should keep his little brain-attic stocked with all the furniture that he is likely to use, and the rest he can put away in the lumber-room of his library, where he can get it if he wants it.’
- Sherlock Holmes, The Five Orange Pips by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I was reading through The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes a while back, came across this dialogue between Holmes and Watson and had this painting immediately pop into mind. It just feels so Holmes, that he would have such a cozy little place in his head to store his information. And what with Sherlock\'s mind-palace excursion in The Hounds, it all clicked. The original mind-palace.
Sherlock Holmes belongs to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
